Kids are said to be the most inquisitive minds. They always want to know the “WHY’s & HOW’s” of things. So here are few tips to help you under those situations. This is just a small compilation..You will find answers once u have been asked the right kind of questions from the “Father of man”…(..Child is the father of Man.. isnt that how they taught us… or did i mess it up again…)
- Why do Onions make us cry?
- Why are manhole covers round and not square or rectangular?
- What is a fart and why does it smell?
- Why do people snore?
- Why do we have eyebrows?
The onion itself contains oil, which contains sulfur, Cutting an onion causes sulfur
to move upwards. When this gas encounters the water produced by the tear ducts, it produces sulfuric acid. This sulphuric acid irritates the eyes. And the eyes produce more tears to dilute this acid… so that it can be flushed out. The only remedy to avoid shedding tears over onion is to boil it, not to slice it or dice it.
That covers of any other shape would fall through the manholes by virtue of their varying diameters. Circular manhole covers do not vary in width, or in diameter, thus remaining in place despite the street traffic running roughshod over them.
A fart is a combination of gases (nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, methane, and hydrogen sulfide) that travels from a person’s stomach to their anus. The gas that makes your farts stink is the hydrogen sulfide gas. The more sulfur rich your diet, the more your farts will stink. Some foods that cause really smelly farts include: beans, cabbage, cheese, soda, and eggs.
Vibrations of soft tissues located at the back of our throats cause the noisy, annoying sounds of snoring.
Its a misconception that snorers sleep soundly, the truth is Snorers are deprived of even the normal sleep. So next time u meet someone with snoring problem.Be sympathetic. And suggest a ENT specialist
Just like an umbrella keeps our bodies dry from the rain, our hairy eyebrows keep our eyes dry from rain or sweat. When it’s pouring rain outside or when sweat drips down from our foreheads, our eyebrows divert the flow of water or sweat away fromour eyes &also keep salty sweat from burning or irritating our eyes.
